The assembly process is very simple and please follow the instructions below.- Assemble the Crossover so it is ready before you start the assembly of the speakers (see instructions below)
- Assemble the Frame
- Mount the Crossover to the Frame
- Mount the Baffles on the Frame (in the case of Horn1 and Heil AMT mount the drivers to the baffles prior to mounting the baffles to the frame)
- Mount the Drivers on the Baffles
- Connect all cables
- Make sure all cables are connected right, ‘plus’ to Red and ‘minus’ to Black
- Turn Volume to Zero and turn on the gear
- Slowly raise volume and check all drivers are playing
- Start the break in of at least 200 hours and enjoy the music !
‘Thrier’ Crossover
[/av_textblock] [av_textblock size=” font_color=” color=” av-medium-font-size=” av-small-font-size=” av-mini-font-size=” av_uid=’av-rycb1y’ admin_preview_bg=”]Overview
The Thrier Crossover, is our new, three-in-one functions crossover board, with components being mounted onto gold plated screw terminals.
The Thrier Board is designed for first order two way crossover with the option to choose the circuit topology, Parallel or Serial. When J1 is on 2W the woofers and the center driver channels will operate in a standard parallel topology, i.e. the two channels are separated. When pointing on S the crossover will be a typical First Order Serial Crossover
You can experience both options and decide which one works better for you. We recommendation to start with Series Topology (J1 pointing on S).
The Thrier offers the option for a third channel, for 2.5 and 3 way first order crossovers or an additional tweeter/super tweeter when needed.

Identify the components:
- Lw is the big Coil for the Woofers (BS140 or BS125)
- Rm1 is the resistor in series with the main driver (full range or horn)
- Rm2 is the resistor in parallel with the main driver
- Cm is the Capacitor for the Center Driver, full range or Horn
- Lm is the small coil (L125 or L140) that ‘shaves’ the highs a bit. It is not used in all models. When Lm is not in use, J2 has to be on HB position!
- J1 can be on S for Series XO configuration or 2W for Parallel XO configuration. Start with S and you can later on experiment the 2W.
Proceed with Assembly in the following order and mount only the components that are listed in the specific configuration and at their right place on the Thrier Board
_____________________________________
- If there is no Lm make sure J2 is pointing on HB. In order to activate Lm (to have it in the audio path) place J2 pointing on Lm
- Place J1 pointing on S (Series). You can try 2W position anytime later on
- Mount Lw (the main Inductor). First connect the wires into the terminals and then tighten the Lw to the Thrier Board
- Mount Rm1 at it’s terminals
- Mount Rm2 at it’s terminals
- Mount Cm (the main Capacitor) at it’s terminals
- Mount Lm (when applicable). Connect the wires and then tighten the Lw to the Thrier board
- To avoid rattling make sure components are not touching one the other nor the board
- Double check position of all components and that there are no shortcuts between components wires and other terminals
You are ready to connect the cables to their terminals !

Lw: 4.7mH, Cm:82Mf, Rm1: 0.1ohm (0R1) or you can put a simple jumper instead of Rm1, and there is NO Rm2 !
Trio15 Horn1 Components:
Lw: 6.8mH, Cm:33Mf, Rm1: 18ohm (18R), Rm2: 5.6ohm (5R6)
The other components, Cap: 1.5Mh and the two green Resistors (33 and 27ohm) are an optional. No need to mount these at this stage.
Trio15 Voxativ (AC-1.6) Components:
Lw: 6.8mH, Cm:68Mf, Rm1: 8.2ohm (8R2), Rm2: 10ohm, Lm: 0.18mH
Trio15 Voxativ (AC-PiFe) Components:
Lw: 8.2mH, Cm:68Mf, Rm1: 8.2ohm (8R2), Rm2: 10ohm
Trio15 Voxativ (AC-X) Components:
Lw: 6.8mH, Cm:82Mf, Rm1: 22ohm, Rm2: NA
You are ready to connect the cables to their terminals !

[/av_textblock] [av_textblock size=” font_color=” color=” av-medium-font-size=” av-small-font-size=” av-mini-font-size=” av_uid=’av-rycb1y’ admin_preview_bg=”] Trio15 Coax speakers feature a high audiophile grade (Silver Gold Oil) crossover that is ready made but also allows swapping the critical components in case this is needed.Below is a detailed assembly guide.
Please note that though the Coax10 board is larger than our Thrier Board, the crossover resides on the base just like all our other crossovers, with four M5 bots and small rubber decouplers between the board and the base.
Mount the crossover to the base, connect the cables to the drivers as shown on the drawing and you are ready to go.
